The first ever Cape Cornwall Saxophone Course was held in 2023.
Here’s what the participants said:

Karen Street, Andy Tweed and Clare Lynch, musician and CCSC administrator, are excited to continue working together to create further opportunities for saxophonists to play in this incredible setting.

CCSC – 6-9 Nov

Confident to Advanced Players

A range of styles, including classical, folk, jazz and the new pieces.

Confident: grade 5 standard and above.

Improvisation: no experience necessary.

This course is suitable for those players wishing to develop their confident skills through group playing and learning new techniques.

Playing in a large saxophone band and smaller ensembles.

Exploring new techniques in workshops.

Choosing to play in a performance class or masterclass.

Choosing to improvise in a group.

No prep needed. Music is provided at CCSC.

In the amazing location of Cape Cornwall Club (CCC) and Boswedden House, both due West of St Just in Penwith, in the spectacular rugged landscape of Cape Cornwall.

CCC for accommodation, food and main rehearsal space and bar for evening jazz impro.

Boswedden House, a 2 min walk from CCC, for extra rehearsal spaces including use of the beautiful yoga studio for smaller ensembles.
